Terms of use

The terms for using Minki’s flashcards, optional accounts and sharing features.
Provider and service
Minki is provided by 1001.digital UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Martinshof 6, 83626 Valley, Germany. Contact: minki@1001.digital. Minki helps you create and study flashcards, download shared library decks and optionally sync learning data or share it with other accounts. Core offline flashcard learning remains free. Optional Family access, Minki Plus subscriptions, voice time and premium decks have their price and conditions presented to the account holder before purchase.
Optional purchases
Purchases require a verified Minki account for delivery and restoration across devices. Family unlock permits unlimited learner creation and is separate from Plus. Plus renews automatically until cancelled through the original payment provider. Access continues through the funded service period. Annual plans grant 60 voice minutes each monthly anniversary, rather than all minutes upfront. Monthly allowance minutes do not roll over; purchased top-up minutes do not expire monthly. The ten-minute trial is once per account and never starts a paid subscription automatically.
Deck and bundle purchases grant permanent account access to the advertised content, subject to valid refunds or revocations and mandatory consumer rights. Bundle contents are fixed at purchase. A redeemed monthly Plus deck remains owned after subscription cancellation; unused monthly redemption does not roll over. A refund can revoke its associated entitlement without removing separately acquired grants. Store purchases are managed through the store; web purchases through Stripe. Account deletion cancels web billing and may require retries during provider outages. Store subscriptions must be cancelled through their store.
Your account
An account is optional for local learning. Keep your sign-in methods secure and provide an email address you can access. Use accounts and sharing features only with the authority of the people involved. If you are not legally able to enter into an agreement yourself, involve a parent or guardian where required. Tell us if you believe your account has been compromised.
Your content and sharing
You keep your rights to content you create. By syncing or sharing content, you permit us to store, process and deliver it as necessary to provide those features. Only upload or share material you are entitled to use. Do not upload unlawful content, infringe other people’s rights, abuse the service or attempt to access another person’s account.
Sharing a deck or transferring a learner profile can give other users access to that information. Review the recipient before confirming. A transferred profile belongs to the recipient’s account after transfer; deleting your account does not reverse a completed transfer. Public library content may have its own attribution or licensing terms.
Availability and learning
Keep an export or other backup of learning data that matters to you. Device loss, storage removal and service interruptions can affect access to data. We work to maintain Minki but do not promise uninterrupted availability or a particular learning result. Flashcards and library material can contain errors and should be checked against appropriate sources when accuracy matters.
Ending use and service changes
You can stop using Minki at any time and delete your account in account settings, or contact us for help. Deletion and retention are described in the privacy policy. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address misuse, protect other users or meet legal requirements.
We may improve or change the service. Material changes affecting your account or these terms will be communicated as appropriate; new terms do not automatically waive existing rights or apply retroactively. If the service is discontinued, we will give reasonable notice where possible so you can export your data.
Legal rights
These terms do not exclude mandatory consumer rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for intent, gross negligence or injury to life, body or health. German law applies, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections under the law of their habitual residence. No exclusive court or arbitration requirement is imposed on consumers by these terms.
